The City Of Toronto Turns 180!

Canada’s most populous city and the capital of Ontario was incorporated 180 years ago today.

Upon Toronto’s (Upper Canada) inception, William Lyon Mackenzie a Scottish reformer, became Toronto’s first mayor and was a leader during the 1837 Upper Canada Rebellion.

*In honor of this monumental milestone, HBTO by MD Art and Design presents Happy Birthday Toronto – Celebrating 180 Years. This event will consist of a semi-formal, cocktail affair, held at the historic John St. Roundhouse and will feature historical elements, big Band music and visual presentations created by Toronto-based artists celebrating Toronto: Past, Present, Future.
