Benazir Bhutto Sworn In As FIRST Pakistani Prime Minister

 
On Dec 2, 1988 Benazir Bhutto was sworn in as the 11th Prime Minister of Pakistan, making her the first woman to head a Muslim nation.
 
Mrs.Bhutto was the daughter of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto the founder of the Pakistan’s People Party (PPP). At age 29, she became the chairperson of PPP she served for two non-consecutive terms as Prime Minister.
 
Benazir Bhutto life came to an unfortunate end when she was assassinated in a bombing on 27 December 2007, while leaving PPP’s last rally in the city of Rawalpindi.
