Two men in their 20s are dead following the crash of a small plane in Algonquin Provincial Park near Haliburton. According to the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre, the Cessna 150 took off from Buttonville Airport in Markham yesterday, and intended to return there; instead, it crashed early this morning. There is no known cause for the crash, but it appears as though the pilot sought a safe place to land, but ran out of fuel. Poor weather conditions were also blamed for the crash, as air traffic controllers lost contact with the aircraft. The Transportation Safety Board and the OPP made their way to the scene to investigate.
