Two male suspects arrested in Central Tech stabbingSeptember 16, 2015
Two male suspects have been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 19-year-old student at Central Technical School last week. The unnamed suspects – a 17-year-old and a 20-year-old – surrendered to Toronto police this morning. The suspects are not Central Tech students, and police believe they were only there to rob two other males of their cell phones. The victim allegedly tried to intervene before he was stabbed. Speaking to the media today, Detective Jessica McInnes says the two face a string of assault and weapons charges, and one more suspect is still outstanding. The 19-year-old student was stabbed outside Central Tech on the first day of classes September 8. He suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover. The suspects made a court appearance this afternoon.
