Puebla, Mexico - Jamaica's U-20 men's squad walked away victorious against Puerto Rico on Tuesday with a dominating 4-1 win in their opening CONCACAF Group C clash.
The team is in contest with Puerto Rico and Panama in a 12 team tournament, of which there are four semi finalists who advance to the FIFA world Cup held in Turkey between the months of June and July.
Team captain, 18 year old Alvas Powell displayed confidence and had the following to say:
"We are well confident and we just have to go out there and deliver and me leading the team, we just have to talk a lot on the field. Six Under-17 (players) advanced to this Under-20 team, so we expect them to go out there and deliver," said Powell.
