UK transport police probe racism claims against Chelsea fans

Mar 2, 2015 | Soccer, Sports | 0 comments

There were reports of racism involving Chelsea fans on a train from London to Manchester. This followed Chelsea’s League Cup victory over Tottenham on Sunday. There were no details on the actions, but transport police say they were called to Stoke-on-Trent station where passengers claimed racist abuse by Chelsea supporters. Four people were asked to leave the train, and four more left on their own will. This isn’t the first time Chelsea fans were accused of racism on the rails; last month, a black man was shoved off a Paris train, leading club officials to ban five supporters from Stamford Bridge.
