Warmup match drawn after England shake up St. Kitts

The first of two warmup matches at Warner Park has been drawn. In the second and final day, England XI declared their 1st innings on 379/6 in reply to St. Kitts Invitational XI’s rather low score of 59 all out. Captain Alastair Cook made an unbeaten 101 before retiring out, in his first century for England since 2013. Other scores: Jonathan Trott 72, Joe Root 64, Ian Bell 59 and Ben Stokes 41. Batting a second time, the St. Kitts side made 76/7, with no batsman scoring more than 20. England’s James Tredwell took 3/35 from 14 overs. Next up is the second and final warmup match leading up to the three-Test series. The first Test starts next week Monday in Antigua.
