Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor stormed into Napier, each one with a strong century, to push New Zealand to a 119-run victory over Pakistan – and to a 2-nil series whitewash – after the 2nd and final ODI match. Man of the match Williamson helped to make it hard for his opponents; his score of 112, along with Taylor’s unbeaten 102, led the Kiwis to 369/5 from their 50 overs. Opener Martin Guptill posted 76. Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Irfan picked up 2/52 from 10 overs. Pakistan were chasing 370 for victory, only to be bowled out for 250. Mohammad Hafeez hit 86, Ahmed Shehzad made 55, and the captain Misbah-ul-Haq added 45. Four Kiwi bowlers took 2 wickets each: Tim Southee took 2/52 from 8, Adam Milne took 2/52 from 8, Nathan McCullum took 2/33 from 5, and Grant Elliott took 2/35 from 4.
