Williamson, Watling pull Kiwis ahead of Sri Lanka

At the 2nd Test in Wellington, New Zealand… Kane Williamson helped give the host country a commanding lead over Sri Lanka at close of play on day 3. Williamson teamed up with wicket keeper BJ Watling to make an unbroken 6th wicket stand of 94; Williamson made 80 and Watling made 48. That partnership, along with Hamish Rutherford’s 40, gave the Kiwis a 2nd innings score of 253/5. Sri Lanka fast bowler Nuwan Pradeep took 3/57 from 19. New Zealand lead by 118 runs with 5 wickets remaining.
