The West Indies were showing what they’re made of in the opener to a 3-day practice match against Sri Lanka Board President’s XI in Colombo. At close of play on day 1, the Windies are 127/6 in the first innings, with Shai Hope on 24 and the wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin on 5; opener Kraigg Brathwaite posted 46. As for the home side’s bowling, Suraj Randiv picked up 3/33 from 13; Suranga Lakmal, making his competitive return, took 2/10 from 11 overs.
