Australia stormed their way into the World Cup final with a 95-run victory over defending champions India at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Man of the match Steve Smith became the first Aussie to hit a century at a World Cup semifinal with 105, contributing well to his side's total of 328/7 from 50 overs – the highest total ever seen in the World Cup knockout stage. Also, Aaron Finch did well with 81. As for India's bowling, Umesh Yadav took 4/72 from 9 and Mohit Sharma took 2/75 from 10. India's reply fell short of their target with 233 all out, with top scores by captain/wicketkeeper MS Dhoni 65, Shikhar Dhawan 45, and Ajinkya Rahane 44. Australia allrounder James Faulkner picked up 3/59 from 9 overs. Australia's win means it's all down to the two host nations. The four-time champs face New Zealand, who are looking for their first title. The final takes place Sunday afternoon (or Saturday night here in Toronto). Over 90,000 bodies are expected to fill the Melbourne Cricket Ground with 2 billion viewers worldwide, making this one of the most-watched sporting events on Earth. (Image source: ABC, Australia)
