Ireland trounced Bangladesh by 4 wickets in their World Cup warmup match at the Blacktown Olympic Park Oval in Sydney. Bangladesh made 189 all out; Soumya Sarkar was the top scorer with 45. Bowling for Ireland, John Mooney picked up 3/32 from 10, and Max Sorensen picked up 3/31 from 9.2. Andy Balbirnie was the hero for Ireland; his 63 not out added to their score of 190/6 from 46.5 overs. Ed Joyce posted 47. Bangladeshi bowler Taijul Islam took 2/29 from 8 overs.
