World Cup 2015: Misbah ensures Pakistan victory over England

Pakistan’s skipper took centre stage as his country defeated England by 4 wickets in their World Cup warmup in Sydney. England seemed to have things under control with a cool 250/8 from their 50 overs. Joe Root top-scored with 85, and Gary Ballance made 57. As for Pakistan’s bowling, Yasir Shah picked up 3/45 from 10 and Sohail Khan took 2/47 from 9. Captain Misbah ul Haq gave Pakistan’s response a boost with an unbeaten 91 to bring his side to 252/6 from 48.5 overs; wicket keeper Umar Akmal added 65. Bowling for England, James Anderson took 2/42 from 10, and Stuart Broad took 2/51 from 9.5. In other warmup matches: New Zealand overcame South Africa by 134 runs, Zimbabwe outlasted Sri Lanka by 7 wickets, and Australia blasted the UAE by 188 runs.
