World Cup 2015: Pakistan's Irfan sidelined by injury

Mar 17, 2015 | Cricket, Sports | 0 comments

Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Irfan is out of the World Cup due to injury. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), a set of scans found a stress fracture on the pelvis. Irfan has had hip problems before; in November 2013, two fractures put him on the sidelines for 9 months. The PCB says they won’t name a replacement unless they defeat Australia at their quarterfinal contest in Adelaide. Other World Cup quarterfinals are on the agenda: South Africa vs Sri Lanka at Sydney, Bangladesh vs India at Melbourne, and the West Indies vs New Zealand at Wellington.
