World Cup 2015: Scotland's Majid Haq sent home for racial tweet

Mar 11, 2015 | Cricket, Sports | 0 comments

Scotland have their final match against Australia this weekend, with one name missing: Majid Haq. The offspinner, born in Scotland to Pakistani parents, was sent home early for a racial post on Twitter. This was likely in reaction to not being selected for the Sri Lanka match, which the Scots lost by 148 runs. The tweet from @MajidHaq read: “Always tougher when you’re in the minority! #colour #race” The tweet has since been deleted.
