An easy one for South Africa in the first of the quarterfinals. The Proteas secure their first win in a World Cup knockout match after a lopsided 9-wicket victory over Sri Lanka at the Sydney Cricket Ground. It all went wrong for the Sri Lankans when they were bowled out for just 133. It was also bad timing for wicket keeper Kumar Sangakkara, who finished his last ever one-day international with a score of 45. His teammate Mahela Jayawardene is also leaving the international game; he didn't do any better when he was dismissed for just 4. Bowling for South Africa, man of the match Imran Tahir took 4/26 from 8.2, and JP Duminy took 3/29 from 9. The South Africans made the fastest successful run chase in a World Cup knockout game with 134/1 from 18 overs. After Hashim Amla's 16, wicket keeper Quinton de Kock top-scored with 78 not out, and Faf du Plessis was also unbeaten on 21. (Image source: ESPN Cricinfo)
