West Indies captain Jason Holder saved his team a spot in the Cricket World Cup quarterfinals; they defeated the UAE by 6 wickets at Napier. Holder became the player of the match, as he took 4 of UAE’s wickets, while Jerome Taylor took 3. This left the Emirates bowled out for 175; top scores from Nasir Aziz 60 and Amjad Javed 56. The Windies reached their target with ease, posting 176/4 from 30.3 overs; Johnson Charles made 55 and Jonathan Carter 50 not out.
