Tickets for the 40th annual Bermuda Music Festival went live yesterday and amazingly the headline performance of world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma sold out in less than two hours!
According to the Royal Gazette, tickets for his February 1 recital at City Hall went on sale at 10am and were gone just hours later. The show’s tickets ranged from $75 to $195 dollars.
Festival chairman Ian Davidson commented that “due to his popularity, the fact that we were only able to engage him for a single night and a limited amount of seating, all tickets for his Founder’s Recital have sold out incredibly quickly.”
Not to worry though, there are many other performances to catch, just visit http://www.bermudafestival.org for more information. The Bermuda Music Festival starts on January 23rd 2015.
