Zinedine Zidane will become the first French manager at Real Madrid, replaced Rafael Benitez, who’s been fired after only seven months in charge. Zidane was promoted after coaching the club’s ‘B’ team. The Frenchman was himself a former Real player, and was long considered a future boss at the Bernabeu, and now here he is, in his first time coaching a top-flight squad. As for Benitez, he leaves Real in third place in La Liga after a 2-2 draw at Valencia on Sunday.
