England’s new coach won’t be named before Ashes, says Strauss

England’s director of cricket Andrew Strauss says they won’t appoint a new coach before the Ashes series in July. Strauss did say that he’s now talking with Yorkshire coach Jason Gillespie about replacing the recently fired Peter Moores. At the moment, Paul Farbrace is the interim coach for England in their two-Test series underway against New Zealand, but time’s ticking, because the five-Test Ashes series against Australia starts July 8.
