Amanda Gorman’s star continues to shine.
The poet, 22, who rose to stardom when she recited her poem “The Hill We Climb” at the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris, is going to the Super Bowl.
The NFL announced on Jan. 27 that Gorman, the U.S. national youth poet laureate, will recite a new poet before the official coin toss.
Gorman’s new poem honours educator Trimaine Davis, ICU nurse manager Suzie Dorner, and veteran James Martin. All helped their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gorman also recently signed with IMG models, who represents Bella and Gigi Hadid and Joan Smalls.
The agency will manage her brand endorsements and other fashion-adjacent opportunities.
Gorman has a love of style. “I’m a black woman with a powerful pen and a big heart, and I like my look to reflect that pride.”
