Chennai Super Kings have booked their place in the Indian Premier League final, defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 3 wickets with 1 ball remaining. RCB opener Chris Gayle hit 41, the highest score in his side’s total of 139/8 from 20 overs. CSK fast bowler Ashish Nehra was the player of the match; he took 3/28 from 4 overs. Chennai was on the counter-attack with 140/7 from 19.5 overs; Michael Hussey top scored with 56. Bowling for RCB, Yuzvendra Chahal took 2/28 from 4 overs. The IPL comes to a close for 2015 when the Super Kings face Mumbai Indians in Sunday’s final at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
