Former NBA centre Moses Malone had died in a hotel room in Norfolk, Virginia on Sunday; he was 60 years old. The Hall of Famer was named MVP 3 times, including in his championship win with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1983. Malone also became one of the first players to go professional directly after high school; others, like Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett and LeBron James would go on to do the same.
