R.I.P. CHUCK BROWN
After a long battle with a list of health issues, the Godfather of Go-Go music, Chuck Brown, died at age 75.
Chuck Brown is synonymous with Washington D.C.’s Go-Go sound as he’s credited as being the creator of the original music using the beat. The repetitive funky percussion vibe can still be heard in current music like Ameriie‘s “1 Thing,”Beyonce‘s “Crazy In Love,” and more.
Mr. Brown died at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, according to his manager, of complications from pneumonia & sepsis.
