Pakistan kept their quarter-final hopes alive with a 129-run triumph over the United Arab Emirates at the Cricket World Cup in Napier, New Zealand. Pakistan were 339/6 from 50 overs. Ahmed Shehzad was player of the match with 93. Other top scores: Haris Sohail 70, captain Misbah ul Haq 65, and Sohaib Maqsood 45. Emirates bowler Manjula Guruge picked up 4/56 from 8 overs. UAE responded with 210/8 from 50 overs; Shaiman Anwar 62, Khurram Khan 43, and Amjad Javed 40. Pakistani bowler Sohail Khan took 2/54 from 9, Wahab Riaz 2/54 from 10, and Shahid Afridi 2/35 from 10.
